Ban Kao Rup Chang is located in Padang Bezar sub-district, Sadao district, Songkla province, adjacent to the State of Kedah in Malaysia . This village was settled down more than 200 years with populations of 1,200 in 395 houses, Buddhist and Muslims people live together. They use Southern dialect. Main occupation is Hevea brasiliensis plantation, and growing plants for themselves, the rests are for sell. Side - occupation are dyeing natural color cloths, transforming cloths, Batik cloth and mulberry-pulp paper, transforming coconut shell. Their coconut shell products are very fine and guarantied by five stars product champion.

        The major attraction in this district is Tham Khao Rup Chang Temple about 13 kilometres from Padang Besar market. The temple uses the cave as religious ground. The cave has been partitioned into several rooms with delicate stalactites and stalagmites. The surroundings are peaceful and shaded by trees.
